What providence that this track pops up in my aggregator. For those of you who don't know Them Jeans, this LA giant (towering at 6' 8") has been spinning Dim Mak Tuesdays in LA for half a decade now. He knows what he's doing.

Guns In The Sun with DCUP
The hooligans over at Guns in the Sun are throwing the farewell edition of their party at the AC Lounge. Previously, they've hosted Classixx, The Juan Maclean, French Horn Rebellion, and The Twelves to name a few. This time Mario Lopez and the boys welcome the thunder from down under, DCUP, in his first ever U.S. performance. Get ready for some wetness as DCUP throws down his disco house heat at the AC Supper Club. Joining the Guns residents (Kenya, Sweatpants, Scorpion Breath) will be none other than CAASINO, L.A. nu-disco fiends and friends of NBD. Get busy this Friday.
Two Door Cinema Club Remixes
Indie electronic group Two Door Cinema has been all the remix rage as of late. While I'm not a huge fan of their music, the band does make for great remix material. The Twelves have been dominating the Beatport charts with their take on "Something Good Can Work" while BeatauCue employs their signature vocal sampling to make a completely different track. Finally, Cassian puts his nu-disco fingerprints all over "What You Know".

Where I'm Going
The first single off Cut Copy's new album dropped today. The whole package will have to wait until 1-11-11. Upon first listen, the new track has a swingier, more mature sound. If you are hoping for In Ghost Colours Part 2, don't hold your breath. That was over 2 years ago and not to mention one of the best dance pop albums of the decade, so the band's sound has almost certainly evolved. The good news is the production is top notch, and I expect a stellar effort with plenty of dance thunder come January. Thumbs up to CC, can't wait for the new album!
