You are here
Felix Cartal + Sound Of Stereo
Tonight, folks, it's another all-star event at Santos Party House. Knock the dust off your party boots, because Dim Mak is in the house, bringing two young but supremely talented artists. Felix Cartal, fresh off his Love EP release, and Sound of Stereo, kicking off their Flatland October tour, will be jamming fresh tunes all night long. The event starts at 11, so there's no excuse not to be there, twisting, shaking, and grooving.
DFA Disco Dancing
If you're anywhere in the tri-state area tomorrow night, you have no excuse but to be at the Hudson Hotel. The DFA Records crew has been throwing shindigs every Wednesday this month, but tomorrow is a special treat. James Murphy will be heating up the dance floor with disco house gems all night long. Extended hours, bigger venue, you better make sure your shoes are sparkling, this is gonna be a good one. We will have a full NBD write up later this week.

Animal House
This Thursday, DBD Social and us here at NBD present Animal House at the Polar Lounge in NYC. As a primer to Electric Zoo next weekend, we will be lubing the deal with drink specials and sweet house music from 10pm-2am. Fresh jams provided by yours truly, Headband, and our dear friend Hooligan. Get ready for some dirty dancing and pounding techno music.
Guns In The Sun with DCUP
The hooligans over at Guns in the Sun are throwing the farewell edition of their party at the AC Lounge. Previously, they've hosted Classixx, The Juan Maclean, French Horn Rebellion, and The Twelves to name a few. This time Mario Lopez and the boys welcome the thunder from down under, DCUP, in his first ever U.S. performance. Get ready for some wetness as DCUP throws down his disco house heat at the AC Supper Club. Joining the Guns residents (Kenya, Sweatpants, Scorpion Breath) will be none other than CAASINO, L.A. nu-disco fiends and friends of NBD. Get busy this Friday.
Y2K with Dani Deahl
Nashville's favorite hipster dance party Y2K brings in the sassy Dani Deahl. Hailing from Chicago, the birthplace of house, Dani spent many years as a writer for URB and TimeOut Magazine, something she still does today. She owns her own record label, she has toured all over the country, and her fierce but flawless DJ sets are something to behold. Joining her will be local residents Coach and Hands off Sam. Get busy.
North Coast Music Festival
The windy city. I love Chicago. They're about to put on one of the best deals I've seen. The North Coast Music Festival has legends that should be on your bucket list and it's fairly priced too. The only downside is it overlaps with Electric Zoo.

Electric Zoo
Electric Zoo, New York's multi-stage electronic festival, returns Labor Day weekend. With only 26,000 people attending over two days last year, EZ gives fans a chance to see some premier DJs in a rather intimate setting. Taking place on Randall's Island, just east of Manhattan, I can't think of a better place to be for Labor Day. Some notable DJs billed for the party:
| The Chemical Brothers | Benny Benassi | Major Lazer |
| Kaskade | Boys Noize | A-Trak |
| Bassnectar | Fake Blood | Erol Alkan |
| Wolfgang Gartner | Steve Aoki | LA Riots |
| Afrojack | Aeroplane | Laidback Luke |
P.S. Make sure to get your tickets before they go up in price July 8th at midnight! Buy them here
Sleigh Bells
Sleigh Bells, consisting of singer/songwriter Derek Miller and vocalist Alexis Krauss, are an experimental indie pop duo from Brooklyn, NY. Cut from the same cloth as Crystal Castles, their debut album, Treats, received critical acclaim from nearly every music publication. Hailed as a dynamic live group, they will be gracing the streets of Nashville next month at the limited capacity venue The End. You do not want to miss a chance to see these guys in such an intimate setting. Soon enough, they'll be selling out back to back nights at Webster Hall.
Chromeo with Holy Ghost!
In support of their new album Business Casual, Canadian duo Chromeo brings their brand
of electrofunk to Nashville. Opening the show is none other than DFA darlings Holy Ghost!,
playing with their live four-piece band. Trust me, you do not want to miss this 80's dance party.
Hard Summer

I'm seriously considering flying to LA for this one. The Twelves!?!?! I might fly across the solar system to see them. On top of that, Proxy, Breakbot, Digitalism, Erol Alkan, and Major Lazer, not to mention everyone else on that list! This is going to be the craziest concert ever put on. Contact us if you want to carpool from Tennessee.
